Tourism is the leading industry in The Bahamas that accounts for a major proportion of our GDP. However estimates of the leakage rate for The Bahamas suggest that for every dollar spent on tourism, over 80 cents is repatriated.

Farmer’s cooperatives for example can generate the economies of scale necessary to produce high quality consistent produce that can replace imports from the United States. Ultimately tourism is a critical cross-cutting field that touches the Green, Orange and Blue themes for banking portfolio management and projects
