On November 22nd, we celebrated a major milestone at the closing ceremony for The Joint SDGs Concessional Loan Fund at Baha Mar Convention Centre! The Bahamas Development Bank’s has provided 2.5 million in low-interest loans and nearly $100,000 in grants. This pioneering fund has fueled the growth of Bahamian businesses, empowering nearly 300 entrepreneurs.
Focused on gender equality and inclusive growth, the program provided critical support for women, youth, and persons living with disabilities, offering training in gender-responsive business practices, policy analysis, and leadership development.
Together with the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development, UN Women, UNESCO, FAO, and UNDP, we’ve helped entrepreneurs build the skills and knowledge needed to scale their businesses and drive sustainable economic growth in The Bahamas.
